Whatever your budget or style preferences, there’s a Mustang trim model that works for you. Coupes are available in five trims: the EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, and Bullitt. Convertibles are available in all but the GT and Bullitt forms (a GT Premium convertible is available).
Under the EcoBoost hood, you’ll find a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual comes standard, but shoppers can always opt for the 10-speed automatic transmission. The base Mustang is ready for some high-performance action, with standard launch control (manual only) and an electronic line lock to enable burnouts. Inside, you’ll find handy tech features like a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and a 4.2-inch center display screen.
The EcoBoost Premium features the same engine and performance hardware, but adds a level of modern luxury with leather upholstery and a nine-speaker audio system. The Sync 3 infotainment system, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration technology, is also standard equipment.
When you upgrade to the GT, you’ll enjoy greater power, compliments of a 5.0-liter V8 engine that makes 460 horses and 420 pound-feet of torque. Like the EcoBoost, the GT comes standard with a six-speed manual but offers a 10-speed automatic transmission. Outside of its blazing powertrain, the GT is equipped much like the EcoBoost Mustang.
For both premium performance and modern comfort, check out the GT Premium. It adds the same features as the EcoBoost Premium – leather upholstery, Sync 3 infotainment – to the GT’s high-performance hardware.
The Bullitt is a special-edition Mustang that takes the GT Premium lineup and adds upgraded performance gear and a little extra horsepower (480 horses, to be precise). You’ll recognize the Bullitt with its special badging and exclusive Highland Green exterior.
