How is the Ford Transit so Customizable?
Well first there are two trims, the XL and the XLT, they are mostly the same except for that the XLT comes packed with more features and technology upgrades. Then on top of having a couple trims with differences, you can get your Transit customized to the exact height and length that you want. With three heights possible, a low, medium, and a high roof, you can get exactly the roof clearance you need for your business, family or recreational van. There are also two lengths available, a standard or extended length, although the extended length has a lower payload capacity. On top of being able to customize your van to the exact size you need, there are two engines to choose from, both V-6s, one gets 275 horsepower and the other gets 310 horsepower. Rear wheel drive comes standard on the Transit, but all wheel drive is also available. Other than that the Transit comes pretty barebones, that way you can completely customize the interior to how you need it. Although, there is a builder’s package for those handymen who need a full sized van, or for those wanting the van more as a camper. In essence the builder’s package takes out the rear seats and upgrades the floor coverings to be more utilitarian.
What is the Driver’s Area Like on the 2023 Ford Transit?
This is where we can see the biggest upgrades to the new Ford Transit. The XLT comes standard with a massive 12-inch screen, set up horizontally. This makes the Ford Transit one of the more modern vans and makes it even more desirable as a live-in van with more modern comforts. The dashboard has also been upgraded and is subtle with plenty of room for both the passenger and the driver.
